Magic Pants: Muku's outfit is torn to pieces when he transforms into Satori, but his pants are inexplicably restored once he reverts to human form. Naruto figures that Sage chakra, which is drawn from nature itself, is still usable. Loophole Abuse: Mui's jutsu stops ninja from using their chakra. However, Naruto and Ryuzetsu quickly call him out, as his father went to great lengths to atone for his previous mistakes.
Mui interprets his attempted patricide as karma, given that him being subjected to a Fate Worse than Death is a direct result of his father's reckless actions. The latter responds by coldly impaling him through the chest.
Kick the Dog: When Mui finally reunites with his son, he cries tears of joy and begs for his forgiveness. Naruto quickly realizes that Maroi was very willing to let him die. Jerkass: Maroi is Bee's friend and was asked by him to protect Naruto. Hijacked by Ganon: Mui seemed to be the Big Bad, but once his true motives were revealed, Muku takes this position away from him. And Ryuzetsu later gives her life to save a dying Naruto. Once Muku comes to his senses, he re-seals himself back in the box to prevent the Satori from hurting anyone else. Heroic Sacrifice: Mui lets himself get hit by Naruto's Rasengan attack while on Satori as atonement for his actions and dies shortly after reconciling with his son. The box itself cannot be destroyed by any known means, and if it's opened, whoever escapes from it becomes the vessel of the demon Satori, whose only desire is to fill the box with more victims. Fate Worse than Death: Those who are trapped in the Box of Paradise spend the remainder of their lives surrounded by darkness, with all their feelings of happiness being slowly drained away until they can feel nothing but despair. Evil Old Folks: When the Satori breaks one of masked figures' masks, it reveals an old man. Even Evil Has Standards: The Masked Figures that showed no regards of manipulating the Hidden Grass are horrified with Muku's slaughter of Kazan. Energy Ball: Satori can fire spheres of dark energy from its mouth and feet. Eldritch Abomination: Satori, a black winged, gaunt creature with a mouth on his chest instead of a head. Before his demise, he addresses Ryuzetsu one last time, apologizing for being unable to keep on living by her side and expressing the belief that he will finally be able to find peace in death. After returning to human form, Muku performs his signature ability, Demon Lantern, which combines with his father's cursed seal to incinerate his own body. Freed from the demon's influence, Muku shares a moment with his father, before suddenly killing him with a final attack. He intends to die alongside his son when he sees Naruto aiming a Rasenshuriken at them, but the attack only destroys Satori. Ryūzetsu has to save his life at the price of hers. Disney Death: After the film's climax, Naruto succumbs to his injuries and dies. Mui gets impaled by Muku in the chest, but stands up to stop his son's rampage. Regardless of this horrific injury, the hero musters the strength to pin the villain down so Mui can seal it. During the final battle, Satori stabs Naruto in the stomach and through his back. It was a ploy to find the Box of Paradise and expose the real culprit. Clear My Name: Seems to be the initial premise while Naruto dealt with things in the prison Subverted, he was innocent all along and Tsunade knew it.
